I woke up with a headache yesterday evening so I lounged in my recliner to watch television while waiting for it to subside. I get three stations and fortunately the Simpsons had just started on one of them. Mmmmmmmm...invisible cola. The evening news with Dan Rather followed on one of the other two stations my rabbit ears gather. I opted to watch that rather than Roseanne. Mr. Rather's presentation was an hour long testimonial to the cancerous nature of humanity. I was dosed with pessimism by the actions our world leaders. (How do these crooks and monsters gain power and respect?) I sat in awe as they reported the trial of three Bosnian serbs for crimes against humanity...during the war in Bosnia tens of thousands of women were raped. I can't imagine how people justify these types of actions to their conscience.

I'm afraid of Americans. I'm afraid of the world. I'm afraid I can't help it.
