Am I being overly-sensitive?

I'm thinking of changing my counter-strike nickname, which is GrindBastard. I feel guilty. My brother Troy was adopted by my dad since his natural father stepped out of the picture when my step-mom became pregnant with him. On Wednesday or Thursday he received a call from his fraternal grandparents explaining that his real dad (Roger) had died a week ago. Though he as never met them, they asked him to visit. They also explained that they would like to pass Roger's inheritance on to him.

I can hardly imagine what my brother is thinking, but he has to wonder why these people waited twenty-four years to step into the picture. The world is full of the fucked up logic of fucked up people.

I feel guilty...what would Troy think if he saw that my moniker is GrindBastard. I never made the connection until the events of late and though it means nothing really in the greater scheme of things, I don't know if it might touch on his feelings. I've been told that I'm reaching.

...And you can dream, so dream out loud
And don't let the bastards grind you down...

Monikers are not personification.. I don't particularly see any need to change your online nick. Bastard has more than a literal meaning within our society, and I don't think your brother would think much of it-- I know I certainly wouldn't.

And I already made a g'damn logo, so don't change yer damn nick. :)
