I watched the olympics for a while last night while simultaneously watching the Colts game and a documentary on Clint Eastwood. Is the NBC sports broadcaster Bob Costas a jackass or is that my isolated opinion? I can recall two incidents from different track and field events when he was mocking of the character of two U.S. competitors. He made no derogatory remarks, but was obviously making fun of them. One was Gabe Jennings, a runner who he called "different" and said somewhat irreverently of, "you'll get a kick out him." Perhaps I'm over-reacting, but I thought his manner was degrading, and I think he is a jackass. I have great respect for not only our country's representatives but for the other olympic athletes as well.
