I'm a UFC junkie. Clay Guida and Forrest Griffin are my two favorite fighters, so when I saw Forrest wrote a book I had to nab it.

*Ouch* Well that was really stupid and random. I opened my Chinese take-out box and was folding the flaps down out of the way when one of them slipped and catapulted a copious amount of spicy-gravy-stuff condensation all over my face and into one of my eyes.

Anyhow, the book was dumb, mildly entertaining, and a fast read. My perpetual headache has pulled me away from Nietzsche's Beyond Good and Evil...and music as well. But my blood pressure has dropped to a relatively normal level and the MRI came back clear.

I had a dream last night that Gene Hoglan was tattooing crossed pistons on my inner bicep.

Have you read Eugene Robinson's book "Fight: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Ass-Kicking but Were Afraid You'd Get Your Ass Kicked for Asking"? It's an alright book. I love Eugene's writing but the subject didn't do much for me maybe.

So are you going to get the tattoo then??

Those are some really classic books on your list. What have been your favorites?

I'm not getting that tattoo...but I've been itching to get another.

Blade Runner and Flowers for Algernon...they offered some of the most intriguing concepts (in the contexts of humanity and intelligence).

Nice update, Good health news, too.

Since I know you are a big fan of non-intrusive music for work, check this out:

Interesting mix of jazz and electronica, sometimes it is total crap but it is usually nice. They have De Phazz, some electo-Bossa Nova, etc. Good background stuff.

Some pretty talented people mixed among some tracks that could be featured on The Weather Channel. You can't have it all though, the AOL Radio channels that feature electronic music are just as hit-or-miss.

Yeah, it is disappointing in that way. I started listening, and was like WTF is this? But I was too busy to change the channel, and after a while I fond myself saying "oh, this works" a couple of times.

Meh. It stays out of the way. Though it makes me want to go and dig up more De Phazz. Those guys are the bomb.
