Three day weekends make it hard to go back to work. If I didn't have class a manana then I'd likely call off. I woke up this morning at six and felt like I had been vehemently beaten in my sleep. After enough coffee and time on the inversion table I'm ready for round two.

I stopped by and visited my dad a couple of times over the weekend to see how he's feeling. Like hell...that's how. He has nothing to do other than watch television and try to stay warm. The medication he has started taking must be seriously fucking with his circulation. Most importantly, he hasn't had a cigarette since the morning of the attack.

I've been playing the Rock Band 2 drums all weekend...getting the chops down to move on to expert level. Some of the songs are just mean. The offbeat bass drum kills me. The pedal is my weakness all around really.

Sometimes a Great Notion...a fantastic Chicago Tribune interview with Ron Moore, Michael Mankin, David Weddle, and Bradley Thompson about the creation and filming of the (brilliant) premiere of the final BSG season.

Steelers vs. Cardinals...very nice...my top choices since the Bears went nowhere. I inherited a nice Steelers hoodie that someone else got for Christmas and then regifted to me since it was three sizes too large. I've gotten some colorful comments about it over the past few weeks here in Colts country. All my Chicago Bears apparel remains invisible.

I need to stop putting off reading The Time Machine and get prepared for class. I realized during the last meeting that my prof looks like a scaled down John Locke...just a bit shorter and a little slimmer.

I TOLD YOU! Once they assign a book to you to read by a certain date, you almost have to FORCE yourself to do it! It's horrible. Even if it's a book you'd WANT to read normally, like my Neuromancer or Perdido Street Station. *sniff*
