The Cardinals win the pennant!
Beltran at the plate...bases loaded...bottom of the 9th with two outs and two strikes...what a nail-biter. And Yadi is clutch!

The post man was nice today...he brought me the Salvatore Legacy of the Drow anthology, Peavey Jack Daniels guitar picks, and an Indian Motorcycles shirt. I also put together a jigsaw puzz with some help from falseye. Then I slept, and got up in time to see the Cardinals finish the series with the Mets, and now I no longer have to tolerate the New York sportswriters and commentators' collective journalistic fellatio of their home team in every major media outlet!

I may have to miss the first game of the World Series since I have to go to my brother's wedding and reception...unless there's a television in the bar.

I'm a bit worried about how St. Louis will fare against Detroit.

Okay, so that game last night was fucking intense!! I was over at my friends house, watching it on his huge 51" HDTV, so I felt like I was really there...and I was like "Oh, Beltran is up. He's going to do something amazing." And then strike one. Strike two. The fact that he STRUCK OUT LOOKING with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth of game 7 is just ridiculous!

Of course, I'm happy that your Cardinals are in it. But against Detroit...I think the Cardinals will be up against a good team and a little bit of destiny as well. But who knows, they might be able to pull it off!
