My brother and I bought our own boat/trailer/outboard a few months ago and we finally had the opportunity to go fishing together on Friday. Now I've got the fever.

The plastic tips at the end of shoelaces are called aglets. Their true purpose is sinister.

Seven catfish and two perch. One of the perch is the second picture, but we throw those back since they're a pain in the arse to clean. It took us about three hours of running our lines, with a couple forty-five minute breaks in between each run...so about an hour and a half of actual time spent running our lines.

That's pretty good - I used to catch cat fish all the time in the river near my parents house. I've never cleaned a fish myself.
