Wanta Fanta...Don't You WANTA!?!?
How did these bitches (I don't use that term lightly) find their way into theater pre-movie commercials and when will they please die? And whoever pioneered that concept of commercials in the cinema is a genius and a pigfucker.

Bonus Boredomkill of the day: Avoider.

To-Do List update:

Clean the Maple tree ranch out of the roof gutters.
Dig up the ugly-ass Holly bushes in the back yard.
Pour sidewalk through butterfly garden.
Build a firepit.
Requisition chainsaw and ladder and finish cutting back branches on the tree over the patio.
Install ceiling fan on front porch.
Plant Orange Jasmine and Chinese Juniper seeds and attempt Bonsai trees.
Trim hedges and shrubs.
Build a model train set that runs the perimeter of the porch's eaves.
Mail XBox to Oki.
Rewire guitar hardware.

we just went to the movies for the first time in FOREVER last night. And there were COMMERCIALS! What the FUCKKKKKKKKK is that?

They had the nerve to say, "And if you didn't get to see all of the spotlight 20, get to the theater earlier next time".

Yeah, fuck you harder next time, bitches!

But for some reason I have a craving for a Fanta.....

The silver screen is never dark for more than a few brief moments when there are people occupying seats in the theater. Before the feature presentation commercials there are ad infitum slideshows of coca-cola commercials, sponsored Hollywood b.s., and local ads...since the 700% mark-up on the concessions doesn't line their pockets fast enough.

I too stayed out of theaters forever (about a full year) until only recently. I'm content with my home theater setup and refrigerator full of fanta.

me too, but it's full of Guinness... and our "home theater" is a 20 year old TV. :)

You know, I've always been OK with the slideshow before a movie starts. It doesn't cut into my trailer or movie time. Sometimes they have trivia, which is repetative and contrite, but it's still better than seeing that TV commerical which became tired last year cutting into the timeslot that should be filled with the trailer for Serenity, "V" for Vendetta, or The Island. MmmMMmmmmmm, movies.

True that. The slideshows are ignorable. Hmmm...must look at the trails for "V" for Vendetta and Serenity since I haven't seen those.

I don't know if there are any near you but Century Theaters have a strict "no commercial" policy with all their shows. With very few exceptions I now see all my movies there to support that idea.
