Aug. 2nd, 2003 10:56 amLasagna for breakfast seemed like a good idea. My sister baked an entire pan for me earlier this week, and after shovelling through half of it I can hardly stand the sight of the remaining half.
I slept from six o'clock yesterday evening to six o'clock this morning. I must have been really tired. I fell asleep watching the Slayer - War at the Warfield dvd after playing golf. The release of Live Intrusion on dvd would have been more worthwhile than War at the Warfield, specifically due to the god-awful fan "interviews" that they devote way too much time to. The concert and the Bloodline video are done really well, but as an overall production it reeks...especially since they've postponed its release for so long.
I'm trying to decide what to do with the day. I've been playing golf or riding my bike in all of my free time during the week. Last weekend I went to Indianapolis to my mom's. We went to see my great-aunt Florence in the nursing home, and I played guitar for her for a while. I'm really out of practice, but she enjoyed it. Later that night we went to see Chicago (the band). I wouldn't have gone under my own typical discretion, but I had more fun than I expected. There aren't any bands that I like touring the area, so I doubt I'll attend any more shows this summer.
I have a dentist appointment this Thursday. My last wisdom tooth is giving me pains, and I need to have my dontals checked out. Last week, some guys that I work with at the course and I took a trip up to Covington to play golf. I walked up next to the tee box on the third hole and was standing by one of the guys for a almost a full minute, and then the next thing I know he took a full practice swing with his driver and clocked me right in the jaw. He forgot that I was there or something, but I know he didn't do it on purpose. I just stood there for a minute while trying to make sure that all of me was intact. I thought HE was going to cry. I spit blood, shook off the feeling that I was going to vomit, and played one of my best rounds all summer.
Yesterday I got beat by a fourteen year old kid.

I'm also getting a guitar for $75. I have to get the action fixed on it, but before I do that... I'm going to just play on it so I get my finger strength up.
