COPYRIGHT VIOLATION BURNINATION!!!!!!

Also, this is the funniest thing I've read tonight/today/this morning:

"I have a suspicion that once this album drops and people hear it everywhere...I just have this suspicion that bands are gonna get heavier and start playing faster again...I just have a suspicion that they are." -Kirk Hammett speaking on St. Anger

Where The fuck has he been...and who stopped?

anyhow...back to Enemy Territory.

Dude, that song is a bunch of crap. And how out of touch are Metallica that they think that *that* is hard music??!! I agree with you, when heavy music stop? Just because real metal isn't played on mtv? Even the fucking lame ass mtv metal bands sound "heavier" than Metallica's "new sound"...

The only song I've heard thus far is the title track, and it is indeed a steaming heap.

Hammett continued his statement with, "I'll tell you one thing," he continued. "Lars played Fred Durst four songs of our new album and the next week Fred Durst postponed the release of the new LIMP BIZKIT album and started rewriting it. Lars and I were talking about it, 'Did he postpone it because he wasn't satisfied with it or did he postpone it because he heard our direction and wanted to be contemporary with it?' It's interesting. We'll see."

Name-dropping Limp Bizkit? You can see how out of touch with metal they are when they consider Limp Bizkit their peers.

FUCK METALLIA!

FUCK METALLICA.
Don't buy any of their albums, ever!
They were once the band that prided themselves with going gold without any air play, and used to let fans bring in recorders and cameras into their gigs. Now, they are just a bunch of lightweight assholes. The only one I have any respect for is the bassist that quit because of the approach the others had towards napster and the whole file sharing situation.

Start playing faster again? Where the FUCK have they been? Oh, that's right, they had their heads up their asses, that's where they were! Someone needs to blast the new Napalm Death RIGHT UP THEIR ASSES.

Fuck Metallica.

The only people who look up to Metallia for musical inspiration are lame-assed pussy posers who think that "The Black Album" was actually heavy. PLEASEEEEEE.......

I can't believe that Metallica used to actually be cool.

They'll never see another nickel of mine.

"The only people who look up to Metallia for musical inspiration are lame-assed pussy posers who think that "The Black Album" was actually heavy."

It's a shame that the general audience doesn't look beyond the top 40 for metal, so albums like the Black Album are as metal as it gets.

This article is pretty funny as well...Bob Rock trying to explain why such sloppy production and incontinuitous song structuring is cool.

oops - Carpal tunnel is bad lately, I missed a letter... :)

I know what you mean about top 40. I don't mind any music at all, if I don't like it, I just don't listen to it. But people like Metallica piss me off. I *really* dislike top 40 a LOT, but it's fine for a lot of other people, I just ignore it. But when groups like Metallica make it via loyal fans, and then turn on them....well shit!

I love this line from the article you link to:

"To me, this album sounds like four guys in a garage getting together and writing rock songs."

Man, I remember when they *DID* record in a garage. Back when they were good. :)

and this:
"...tuning vocals. We just did it, boom, and that was it."

and this:
"A lot of the songs were done in William Burroughs cut-and-paste fashion,"

But the FUNNIEST LINE is this one:
"I wanted to do something to shake up radio and the way everything else sounds,"

OH MAN! Like metallica is going to do anything inventive... right....

:)
