matt....bob barley (the new associate director...not a reggae singer) came by today and indicated he hadn't met you yet. Said he gets in at about 7 so he'll just have to stop in and see you. May be tomorrow..or any day...so be careful. *That pose I often see you in wouldn't be good!!! ;-)

(*That pose: Reclined in a computer chair, feet propped up on another chair, head back, mouth open, while snoring liberally.)

My brother came by yesterday morning and we went out for breakfast, bought paneling and ceiling tiles for the cabin, and watched Resident Evil. I get off of work at 8am, go to my other job, get off at 2pm, and then we're going to start working on the cabin. That'll be my excitement for the weekend since I got a message on my voicemail asking me to work Saturday evening along with my regularly scheduled Sunday morning. Two things I've taken for granted: free time and sleep.

Resident Evil was pretty okay...I haven't played the games, so I approached it with the expectations of another Living Dead movie. One of my favorite movies ever - John Carpenter's The Thing(!!!!!!) is making its way into a game adaptation to be released August 20th. I really hope it'll be good for a scare. Download the game-trailer here. I also hope that the new Tron 2.0 game rates a big doesn't-suck on the doesn't-suckometer...trailer here. This new Bowie album kicks my ass. My cat likes watching Animal Planet.

Anyhow, I guess I'll have to reschedule my nap to an earlier time this morning.

...because I'm easily amused by transfer rates.

Damn... I didn't know that John Carpenter directed The Thing.

That's pretty cool.

He directed the 1982 remake of The Thing from Another World, which is older than God's pocket lint.

I saw Resident Evil a couple of nights ago. I thought it was ok but mostly blah. (It sucked to be the guy who got cut into a zillion pieces by that laser thing though). I'm a little familiar with the games and I'm assuming the movie set up for a sequel leading to the Code Veronica game that focuses on the fucked up family who own the Umbrella Corporation. I'm sure that should be worth watching.

It must since they already covered the nemisis project. I just hope in the next she she busts up an old house. =)

It had its moments. I wasn't expecting an innovative drama, so I was pretty entertained.

I think that guy had a less excruciating demise than the ones who had their flesh chewed off by zombies, though I'm not 100 percent sure on that since I've never been diced by a laser mesh or actually had my flesh chewed off by zombies. I once dated this girl who scraped her teeth though digress...I'd probably watch the sequel if they made one.

If ya liked The Thing, I'm sure you would enjoy Freddy Got Fingered. ;P

PS - That's, like, the Tron2.0 movie, right? At 6megs, that's gotta be the QT movie.

Looking forward to that game.

Blah. I didn't mean The Thing. I meant Resident Evil.

Did you hear Romero is thinking of making one more "Dead" movie?

He's calling it Dead Reckoning.

There's been rumors about that for a while, though I haven't seen anything progress of them for a while.

Geebs, doesn't it wierd you out that Tron 2.0 was only 5 megabytes? last time I checked it was running on the lithtech engine and that is quite a hefty engine, far more than 5 mb.

I think it's just the quicktime movie demo of the game in action.
