Jul. 10th, 2002 05:36 amI had a dream a few days ago that I was controlling a Bill Clinton robot that was travelling around making speeches to groups of people. They really liked my speeches, although I made them up on the spot and spoke them into a microphone. I wasn't very good at controlling him though, and I kept knocking things over and running into people. And then I was swimming in an icy river and doing other stuff or something and stuff.
My brother called yesterday to ask if I'd like to fish this weekend and if there are any concerts this summer that we can go to. No such luck. There are a dozen bands on tour that I'd like to see that don't stop to take a piss within 150 miles of here. He also informed me that my imbecelic sister who was recently thrown out again ran up a $4000 dollar phone bill on my dad and stepmom. Apparently she thought it a good idea to call people she met online from Japan and several other countries. Her grand total is almost $7000. They put a restraining order on her, and she's somewhere in Missouri staying with friends. I can't say that it's unbelievable, because nothing is shocking. The fact that gets under my skin is that when I have asked for any kind of financial support to attend school my dad couldn't afford to help, but spending a thousand dollars or two on her phone bills has become a casual affair. Also, my dad has been talking about selling his cabin, so my brother and I will probably buy it. I might be a selfish bastard to think that he could cut us a break, but it seems that we pay for what my sister gets away with. There's really no point in bitching about it, but I can't understand any of the logic involved.
On another note, I got a call back for a second interview at the golf course. My boss just arrived and asked if I got the job yet. I said, "no, but Ed (the assistant pro) called and asked me to come in on Thursday." My boss said, "they're going to hire you...I talked to the pro last night."
Stacey has a friend that she has been wanting to set me up with, so I'm going out for dinner with her and Joe to meet her tonight. Maybe we'll hit it off.
The MLB All-Star game was halted due to an eleventh inning tie and an extinguished supply of pitchers. True, the all-star game is purely for exhibition, but each person in the packed stadium paid at least $150/ticket...AND the chances of a league strike are highly likely. I've finally gotten back into baseball since I stopped watching it the LAST strike in 1994. For the love of the game my skinny white ass. Maybe in a Costner movie.

You're not selfish. My brother is barely 14 and he's stolen money, destroyed walls in our home, taken an EXPENSIVE laptop to school and LOST it, dialed 900 numbers, etc. etc. What does he get now you ask? A Nextel 2-way pager cell phone, electric scooter, mp3 player, probably a car next year... What did I get?...TREATED BADLY.
