Jun. 24th, 2002 04:56 amAnother weekend has passed and Monday has rediscovered sobriety. The last few days' endeavors have included troubleshooting Falseye's damned-by-God computer, beer, guitars, moving an air conditioner, my friend Kenny's home-made(!) beer, Derby's teriyaki steak (and beer), and a stupid leaning toward emphysemic tendencies (coff). I'm running on an hour of sleep and the idea of going jogging today doesn't conjure any enthusiasm at all, but I probably will anyhow since I've nothing else to do that offers any more appeal.
I was watching the St. Louis at Chicago game while trying to fall asleep yesterday evening and heard that the Cardinal's best pitcher (in my opinion) Darryl Kile died unexpectedly in his sleep two hours before the game on Saturday due to artery problems. The Cardinals and Cubs rivalry was subdued by mourning for as even many of the Chicago players had the number 57 drawn on various parts of their uniforms in tribute. They thoroughly walked all over St. Louis, who were giving away runs with errors and text-book fielding plays that were poorly executed. This was a sad week for St. Louis baseball with the death of Jack Buck only a few days ago. Rest in peace.
This is another week without my home computer. It's as if someone shut pandora's box, though I'll probably be begging to re-open it soon eough.
