Marc (my brother) called me today to make sure I was going to be there for his birthday. Since Erica lived with his girlfriend (they recently moved out), he has seen her with another guy a lot since I last talked to her. I'm so easily replaced =) Not to be conceited, but it is totally her loss anyhow...her life is full of problems that I don't need or want to deal with. It is always the idea of how things might have worked out that always bothers me somewhat, but there is no point in being unrealistic.

But let's not pretend
that it could have been
any other way.

But it does sound a little conceited of you to say that, grind... But since I've known you for long enough, I also know that she's missing out on a good person, who has good intentions... most of the time ;P~ But from YOUR not wanting her problems, to concern you... seems more like a quiet mutual split, where you both want to either get some space, or to just go your own way...

It's not even that I don't want her problems to concern me, that is part of being in a relationship. Her problems are way out of my hands, and I couldn't help her or even be emotionally supportive since she decided to remove me from her life because of them.
I'm really not conceited, anyone who knows me would tell you that. Perhaps saying that is more of a subtle therapy or self convincing gesture...but what do I know, either my taste in women is terrible or I'm incapable of relationships.
