grindmonkehI remember this thing. I put things here and it puts the things on the other thing. Anything notable of late has been lost in the translation to composition intended for this place, so things rest as they do. I spent most of my time over the weekend doing things offline, writing, reading (Black House), recording, watching MASH and Lord of the Rings (thanks Firestorm), and spending time with Stacey and Joe.
My brother almost killed himself on Thursday. He flipped his truck after he lost control on a gravel road and was trapped inside it inverted in a ditch. It caught on fire, and luckily someone happened along and smashed a window to pull him out. He has a few bruises, the effects of smoke inhalation, and some minor burns on his leg. His truck was incinerated, so he's damn lucky that he isn't seriously injured or dead...I would have kicked his ass.
I just ran about three miles with Dan, a programmer in our department. I forgot to bring extra socks so I had to run home and grab a pair right quicklike. I'm going to run with him during the week on my lunch break instead of running alone on a machine at the weight room. Dan outruns me by an extra mile, and I smoke the old people at the gym like they're a bunch of old people, so I now have some motivation to improve and push myself farther.
The Boss and the fellas just rolled in. I lost the lead in the basketball pool by one game. Doh.
I know that people want an endless supply of Wonka pictures, so I got a shot of his war-face. I don't have any decent photo-progs here at work to resize it with, so it's pretty big.
