I just looked in the mirror...my eyes are broke, I look like hell. I was awakened two hours into my slumber by a knock on my door today...Scott stopped by to chat for a bit. That was fine, only I couldn't fall back asleep after he left. I jogged about two miles thinking that might wear me thin and enable me to doze. No such luck. I showered and laid down only to toss and turn while answering the phone at twenty minute intervals. I'm in a good mood though, the coffee pot is my redemption...typical.

The results of a cooking experiment were pleasantly surprising today. I made chicken breasts topped with sauteed mushrooms and montereyjack cheese. They tasted........beautiful. (It's the little things in life.)

I am a groomsman in my friend Scott's wedding next weekend, so naturally this weekend we are having his bachelor party. The film "Very Bad Things" comes to mind. We talked about the possiblities of going to a casino or LaClede's Landing in St. Louis. It should be really fun.

Cost of the wedding: $10,000
I'd like to say it again. $10,000. That is $10,000. Of course that includes the cost of the honeymoon too, but $10,000!?!??!!?!?!?! Perhaps my personal disregard of tradition and my bias against church weddings are influencing my opinion, but I think spending $10,000 on a wedding is an incoherent delusion of grandeur...who needs it?!?!?!?! If I had a big church wedding it would be...um...strange. The tension in the air between my attending family would be so thick you could see it on your breath, and I have friends from such vast walks of life that none of them would have anything in common with eachother. As I've stated before, most occasions worthy of celebration are very low scale in my family...I may be right, I may be crazy...

I'm dodging dreams....my eyelids have taken a mind of their own and keep trying to close...I'm going to leave work a bit early...must...go....to bed......My thoughts are pretty incoherent, so Sunday night I'll have to reread my last entry to see if it's feasible.
