I had some drastically twisted dreams yesterday evening that are still coming together through recollection. In the first segment that I can remember, I was walking through a crowd that consisted of what seemed like everyone I've ever known. They were all smiling at me and wanting to shake my hand or give me high fives as I passed. It was really surreal, disorienting, and generally fucked. I walked out of the crowd and by this physically defying fountain to the parking lot where I was trying to find my truck in a pitch dark night. There was a seven foot tall guy wearing a long coat and a hat walking right toward me. I felt weird so I turned to the right, and he changed course to intercept me. His face came into view and it was solid white with big black eyes and an equally dark open smiling mouth. I was panicking and I couldn't catch my breath or move quickly. I awoke to a strange noise coming from my throat and my cat meowing at me. My head was pounding, and I was freezing. This is symptomatic of a typical fever for me, with the nightmares and such. I went to work anyhow, and my headache finally subsided around five a.m. after about four hours of hot asexual convo with DuckLips and two hours of counter-strike with the Loki, the Artyste, the HighLearn, dirty Zed, and the Scoutster. I guess either I'm not sick or there's a remedy among either of those activities. nanu nanu +$300.
I have a four day weekend ahead of me. I decided to go ahead and work out this morning since I feel better, but the damn gym was closed. I'm going to run by Andy's house and then head to Robinson I think. I'll probably run by Falseye's and my brother's and then I'm supposed to meet Damon and Misty at the hometown bar. Yay. The night before Thanksgiving is usually mad packed with people I went to school with since everyone is returning home to visit their families. This can be a good thing and a bad thing. I wouldn't walk across the street to talk to the majority of individuals in my high school class, but there are cool people who I've lost track of. I'm going to Indianapolis with my grandparents to stay at my mom's for Thanksgiving and probably Friday too. I wish my brother was going, but he has to work Thanksgiving night. Hopefully I'll have time today or Saturday to see him and my nephews.
Andy just called, so I'm hitting the road. I hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving.
I'm generally optimistic contrary to much of my humor and scathing rhetoric, but William S. Burrough's A Thanksgiving Prayer is a classic.
