The weekend washed away quickly along with any plans of playing golf, but I had Okimon and Matt to hang out with all day Friday. We watched The Wall: Live In Berlin, played guitars (SING, OKI!!!!...DAMN YOU!!!!...SING!!!!) and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 before My mom stopped by to drop off some curtains she bought for me...we went with her out to eat and to the mall. Hanging with the momsta...she's the coolest though. After she left we had stocked up on beer and decided to just stay at my place all evening until Joe stopped by and asked us if we wanted to go out. We went to the 4th Quarter where we watched a band, played pool, and let a fair amount of sobriety slip through our fingers.

Matt and Oki went home on Saturday afternoon. I watched AI and fell asleep by seven in the evening.

I awoke before the sun on Sunday, cleaned my apartment from wall to wall, and then read NAM from cover to cover. My boss recommended it and let me borrow it. I've read both fiction and nonfiction galore on the topic of the Vietnam conflict, and it never fails to be worthwhile in psychological value alone. It's hard to imagine experiencing such a nightmare, or the possibility of history being repeated as we engage in our current conflict. The disregard of humanity is so easily justified by war.

St. Louis got stepped on by the Arizona Diamondbacks. My money is on the Yankees.

I got my job reclassification. I've actually been busy at work for the last few weeks as I've picked up new responsibilities, but I'll get at least a 10% raise for acting a little busier than usual.
