Aug. 28th, 2001 05:14 amI've been somewhat ignoring livejournal for the past few days to sidestep the frustration of hit or miss functionality and the frenzy of multiple replicated postings my friends page has been decorated with. It goes without saying.
I had a pretty good weekend though. Oki drove down from Detroit and my friend Matt came up from Robinson, Illinois. We went out for Mexican food and listened to their mariachi group perform songs from the wonderful world of Disney and other assorted fan favorites. Coronas, chips and salsa, and a chimi Acapulco make for a divine meal. We left and acquired what we thought was enough beer for the night, and Max Payne for entertainment. We ran into my new neighbor Alex in the parking lot of the apartment complex, and he hung out with us for the early part of the night. We were low on alcohol so we made another beer run and went to my seeester's per her invite. I was fairly inebriated by 3 am when everyone called it quits for the night. I went to sleep while Oki played Max Payne, and awoke a few hours later to go to work.
Work was a dirty hungover bastard. No wait, that was me. Oki stopped by at around noon to go grab some lunch, and after 20 cheekun mcnasties a piece he split for Detroit. I've been helping out with new student IP address requests, so I was busy all afternoon doing those and submitting server backups.
I got home at around five in the evening and Matt was still(!) asleep on my couch. I fell asleep at about six and woke up at midnight, good to go for pizza, beer, and euchre. They left at three and I immersed myself in the world of Max Payne while Matt slept. I finally went to bed at eleven Sunday morning, and woke up in the evening. Matt went home and I went to work.
I didn't do a whole lot to day other than sort and assemble the plethora of mp3's I have accumulated here at work into an anal retentive archive on my home computer. I'm a bit obsessive compulsive with my music collection, and if someone gives me the chance I will impose unto them my putrid taste in music and they will like it or die. Ok...not really, but I like to share.
Alex stopped by before I came to work to show me his new tattoo. It's a really nice looking color dragon. I think I'll probably get one like this and go shirtless to attract women.

Date: 2001-08-29 04:17 am (UTC)You got me, I don't really have a van. It would be too hard to be a sociopath with tastes that are both fashionable and functional. To be able to afford a proper kidnapping van and required tools I'd probably have to moonlight as a kleptomaniacal lounge singer or meth lab architect or something.
You're awfully goddamn demanding.
