Billy and his girlfriend Kelly took me out for lunch today at Red Lobster, and then we played putt putt golf. Billy won. He's getting his shit together...working a lot and staying with his grandparents.
I didn't have to work this morning. My boss called me FROM work and said, 'there's no one here....can you come in?' I said sure. And then the student worker left a message saying that she was there and had been there since nine. My boss called FROM there at almost ten. I kept trying to call to see if she was there, and there was no answer. I went in, and she had the stereo up so fucking loud she couldn't hear the phone. I wasn't happy. I'm going to claim a couple hours of overtime regardless.
Kyle seems to be doing better with his wife, but he's still going to stay at my place and give her space for awhile longer. I told him he's welcome to stay as long as it takes to get things right. He took for granted what he had, and has come to realize what is important to him the hard way.
