grindmonkehI was greeted with unusual news when I returned from Ohio. My brother's ex-wife overdosed on drugs. We aren't certain what she was using, but she is apparently okay. My brother now has full-time custody of his kids. Since the hospital didn't call the police and she didn't report to the rehab center, he has gotten a lawyer to handle getting permanent custody. No one has any clue where she is, and not many would have been sad if she would have died. That's TERRIBLE to say, but it's the truth. I don't understand how people can be so truly fucked up, and I'm getting disgusted at how drugs are shadowing the lives of everyone I know including non-users.
I helped my mom's husband (Jim) install the Diablo 2 expansion after Loki and MovieBrain dropped me off at my ma's to pick up my truck on Sunday evening, so I got home in time to take an hour nap before work. As I indicated in my last post, I was beyond exhausted by 8 o'clock Monday morning. I was dreaming with my eyes open and trying not to give people the impression of insanity.
My brother Troy called and asked a big favor for a friend of our family's. Kyle just got seperated from his wife due to a love letter he got via e-mail. He has no place to go, so I'm going to let him sleep at my place for a while. He doesn't know how long he'll need a place to stay, but he is hoping to resolve things with his wife of twelve years. I hope I can accommodate him comfortably...he is 6'5" and 350 lbs. He'll be working from eight in the morning until nine at night, so I'll only see him really at night before I leave for work. Wonka will be thrilled to have company and someone to pester while I'm gone. He has been purring while following me around since my return from Ohio.
I went over to my sister's and watched a few eps of Sex in the City on dvd last night. Sarah Jessica Parker...droolarific.

Sorry to hear about the whole incident with your brother and his exwife... though at least now the kids are in better hands.
And um... wow. Crazy shit just happens around you when you travel doesn't it?
