Scouty and I have been stepping on terran lemmings all morning.
I put my window air-conditioning unit in to get me by for the week. If I had not had it stored in my closet, I'd be baking. I was exhausted beyond the point of concentration while at work last night, but after a half an hour of sleep I don't feel inclined to go to bed.
Our database administrator (the guy who made me want to pull my hair out while I was working evenings and training for the distance education networking) screwed his backup job of the database up so entirely that it ran all night, and thus prevented me from any of my work on system. I called him twice in the early a.m. to let him know that his operation was still borked, even though he had been notified earlier that evening and decided not to do anything about it. He is among several in our department that don't understand that if they prevent me from my work...and their system crashes...I can't help them restore it. I guess that's what it takes.
