Apr. 2nd, 2001 07:53 am"There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man......It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity......It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge......This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call...the GBT Zone."
I didn't set my clock forward on Saturday night at midnight. We don't do that on GBT, time is as irrelevant as fact.
I left work for a while to call my Bria and grab a wholesomely well rounded fast-food breakfast substitute. The drive to my apartment and back was a pleasant repose for my dry mind.
The morning air is bearable at forty-five degrees and the day's temperature should rise to about sixty. Spring is birthing anew, refreshing spirit and renewing optimism. About damn time.
I've put off my lj entry until the last minute...a summary of the weekend:
My friends Matt and Jason drove over from Robinson on Saturday afternoon. First we went out for Mexican...Chimi Acupulco...droool. We picked up some beer and played darts, watched The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Fight Club. Pizza, convo, darts, and beer. Matt and I played guitars for a while, and actually pulled off a drunken cover of The Doors' "People Are Strange." Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again" derailed several times and as we once again attempted to recover, Jason jokingly requested Enter Sandman. From there it was all down hill. Don't this at home: a two man drunk acoustical Enter Sandman jam...it was fun...it was scary.
Matt is getting immersed more deeply into computer recreation (That poor bastard) so Jason and I are influencing him ln his choice of entertainment. Actually, Jason has me intrigued with Flash, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop as well. In a period of fifteen minutes he put together a decent sample webpage intro just to show me how easy it was. I'm brainstorming on some ideas for a new website since mine is old, outdated, stale, defunct, redundant, redundant, redundant. It's pretty cool that some of my friends have surfaced with the same interests, as it seems that most of the common social contingencies between me and some of my friends are dissolving.
