grindmonkehIn other news, a student here who works at the help desk thought it would be a good idea to express her feelings toward her supervisors in her LiveJournal.
Now, that might sound like a good idea, unless you say things like, "...STUPID FUCKING MANAGEMENT...THEY'LL PAY...IF I COULD FIND EXPLOSIVES AND GUNS, I'D USE THEM..."
Her boss Joe happens to stop in here a few times a week and chat with Mike and I over coffee. He is a nice and level-headed guy, but he HAD to fire her after another one of his employees showed the entry to him. She edited the entry after he confronted her about it, but he had already copied it. It looks much different now than before....a friendlier happier I'm okay-You're okay type of journal....quaint.
We told him to stop coming around ...we don't want to be near him if she should snap, or be associated with him in the event that she punishes him by smoking his friends.
So the lesson learned is: Do not say anything in your LiveJournal that can be used in the court of law, and above all...USE YOUR HEAD. A threat in any form is still a threat.
