grindmonkehLong time, no update.
I had my wisdom teeth pulled a week ago so I've been on a liquid diet complimented by vicodin, ibuprofin, and a diluted hydrogen peroxide rinse. I just gotta say that it really fucking sucks. The dentist's assistant really messed my lip up by repeatedly seesawing the saliva/blood vacuum on it when it was dry and numb. I've got gaping blisters that have made me feel like a leper. Mouth wounds are miserable, but at least I can tell they're healing.
My cats have been fighting one another and behaving like the demonically possessed over the past week. It started once the weather got nicer and I opened the windows of the house to let fresh air in, so I'm guessing that they've caught the scent of another cat (or cats) in heat. The neighborhood is rampant with strays. I don't know how to (humanely) dispel the neighborhood cats or my cats' ill behavior. A water spray-bottle scatters them and pisses them off right nicely when they're in the midst of a growling and hissing standoff.
I've started some projects around the yard and slated up some to be done in the future. Yardwork and landscaping is fun and exciting. I bought a Dean Hardtail and Line 6 PodXT, and have been writing and recording a song. I don't know who or what to compare its sound to, but it's not like anything I listen to. I haven't worked on it for a few weeks, but I mean to get back to it soon. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has stolen my soul. Is it me, or does the melody of one of the main music pieces sound like Call on Me? I get this song stuck in my head every time I play the game.
I caught up with Lost today finally after letting four episodes idle on the tivo for a month. In the wake of Battlestar Galactica's season finale I haven't spent much time with the idiot box.
Silent Hill, in a nutshell, blows Elvis. What the movie exulted with impressive visuals was lost by the poorly written story and jarring continuity. Sean Bean looked conspicuously out of place as he appeared to be the only person on the set with any notable acting ability...as the lead females in the movie couldn't salvage the script or direction for their parts. Then again...who could? The story went from completely meandering to a really bad kind of concise.
