living vicariously through mail-order.
Sep. 25th, 2003 02:31 amIt seems that all I've been doing lately is working, napping, and shopping for a new cd that I can really wrap around my mind. Work has been really sparce at the University, but thankfully I have some great late night convo to thrive on as well as the IVth Dark Tower book to complete. Business at the golf course has slowed drastically although the weather has been perfect all week, but that only means that I've been getting home earlier in the evening and then tossing and turning an extra half an hour while trying to capture some sleep before midnight when it's time to go back to work.
My friend Damon ordered tickets for the two of us to the Dimmu Borgir, Nevermore, Hypocrisy, and Children of Bodom show on December 6th in St. Louis. I traded an extra copy of the Enemies of Reality special edition release to him for mine. I'm going to try to talk him into going to the Slayer, Arch Enemy, and Hatebreed show in Indianapolis this November.
new cd's:
The Future Sound of London - Lifeforms
Ion Dissonance - Breathing is Irrelevant
A Life Once Lost - The Fourth Plague
Goatsblood - Drull
Cradle of Filth - Damnation and a Day (bleh...it was free.)
Dimmu Borgir - Death Cult Armageddon
on order:
Hall and Oates(!) - VH1 Behind the Music collection
Morbid Angel - Heretic
Winds - Reflection of the I + Of Entity and Mind
I finally picked up Neil Gaiman's American Gods as well the other day. I'm seeing his name and face pop up a lot in the media again with a new Sandman graphic novel on the horizon.
I'm amazed that with all the useless crap I've bought lately that I could budget a hearty $600 to send to the student loan leeches. I'm trying to pay those bad bitches off as soon as I can, and their minimum monthly payment hardly wavers the balance.
Meanwhile in Gotham, Fred Durst still sucks.
