Mental notes to update my journal have been repeatedly crumpled and discarded as time always seems to offer another course of interest before I can motivate myself to peck something out into a coherent structure. It would be a painful diet of more of the same on a regular basis anyhow, as recursive and redundant as ever-increasing circles. Often fresh ideas seem spoken for and conversation patronizing of time. While life is good it seems hard to mill through it with easily anticipated rhetoric. People, places, and things seem absent of mystery, magic, or love while it's really just a phase of disconnection on my end as predictable and anticlimactic as it appears. Life is good...I'm bored with myself.

Last weekend was a blur of events and this week has been an expedient waste of time. I went to my Dad's graduation on Friday, and then drove to Olney to Damon's house where we watched the Cradle of Filth dvd and then I fell asleep on his couch in mid-conversation. I visited for a while with him and his girlfriend on Saturday, and then drove back to Robinson where my brother and I went shopping for mother's day presents. Are we there yet? No. My friend Billy and I went to the bar on Saturday night and drank a countless number of seventy-five cent drafts. We went to another bar, talked to a lot people, and then I called it a night and crashed at my brother's. We went to my Grandparents' house on Sunday to celebrate mother's day, and then I drove back to Terre Haute in a heavy rain. On Monday night the alternator in my sister's car ate shit and I was recruited to help change it out in the Autozone parking lot. A grease-monkey I am not, but we got it fixed.

I've acquired lots of good stuff over the past few days: the Episode II movie (divx), Dungeon Siege, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Elder's Scrolls III: Morrowind, a geforce 2 gts, the Death - Live in Eindhoven dvd that I ordered in February (and Leprosy on cd), and several other albums from Damon's collection and various ftp sites.

I've only been running twice this week. If the river raises another two more feet it will flood over the sidewalk we run on in the park. I've never seen it so high. We took today off. I've been pretty unenthusiastic about going, but I feel good afterward.

I really should find a part-time job to work on Friday and Saturdays. I've been thinking about this for a while, but I can't seem to find any place that is ideal per my schedule or interest.
