I was watching a movie with a friend.
I fell in love with the actress.
She was playing a part that I could understand...
I called Mandy last night before I went to work. We had a nice offhanded conversation about nothing really specific or deep in demeanor. She laughs a lot and it's nice to hear. She is finishing her course-work in micro-biology and may go anywhere in the country to find a job, and it's hard to foresee where this could all lead...maybe nowhere...it seems that nothing is foreseeable anymore...neither the good nor the bad.
I just got a call letting me know that I didn't make the cut for interviewing on the job I applied for. Out of the five hundred applicants, they're interviewing about forty and hiring fifteen from that number. I made the cut down to the last fifty, and missed the cut for the interviews. I guess 8 of the applicants were almost guaranteed since they had experience in the field, so my odds were not great...500:7...71:1. Oh well. I'm disappointed, but I knew what my chances were. The next time a position becomes available it is highly likely I'll at least get an interview.
I've been called a hick twice within the last 24 hours on two seperate occasions for saying, "y'all."
I am not a hick.
I am the ghetto master.
