grindmonkeh: (my what a big nose you have.)
Is it strictly the midwest that has been invaded by the "Git-R-Done!" catchphrase fad over the past year or so? I'm only curious because it seems like the designer redneck attire is especially on the rise lately at the golf course. We don't have a dress code other than that you have to keep your shirt on (yes...we have had to reprimand people for violating that rule), and it seems like the most popular attire in golf at our course is an ensemble that includes a t-shirt emblazoned with the "GIT R DONE!" idiom. I don't subscribe to typical golf fashion or much of a fashion scene in any sense, but I can't help but feel a little embarrassed on the inside for those people. ...Unless you of course are one of those people. You have enough sense to be embarrassed for yourself.

@GrindBastard> call it blasphemy...
@GrindBastard> but i liked the a-team when it first came out...
@GrindBastard> and then hated it
@Artyste> I think I screwed up the theme song
@Artyste> oh well
@GrindBastard> when i realized that nobody ever got shot!
@Artyste> it's hard to do instrumentals in type
@GrindBastard> yeah
@Artyste> Nobody!?
@GrindBastard> i've seen ONE episode where someone got shot
@Artyste> I haven't actually watched it since I was a kid
@GrindBastard> and that whole episode was based on trying to get that person to the hospital
@Artyste> lol
@GrindBastard> the WHOLE episode

I hated MacGuyber even more. HATE.

While in a perceptive stream of post-hangover euphoria®, everything seems like a good idea. Well almost everything...I can't think of a domain name that I like for my photo gallery and stuff. Suggestions?

Half-Life 2 real world awesomosity.

I'm pondering a job opportunity that was just presented to me over the telephone. When I move in two weeks I'll have about a 45 minute commute to work at the university. The pay is okay...the job is great...I work midnights (which has pros and cons of its own). If I take the job opportunity (behind door #2) then I'll have a 5 minute drive to work...the pay will start at about the same that I make now but will significantly increase...the job will rate a speculatively much higher suck on the suckometer...and I'll work straight days. The shorter commute and higher pay are a definite pro to taking the job, but the job itself is a pretty definite con when compared to the one I have here. It definitely fits the "love or money?" vex, but the driving distance and working hours would definitely be nicer too. The job isn't even guaranteed to be mine, but I have a good shot and only have a day or two to decide whether to apply. I should have decided what I want to be when I grow up a long time ago.
