Everything is true,
God is an astronaut,
Oz is over the rainbow,
and Midian is where
the Monsters live.

- Clive Barker

I'm so restless. I can't wait for a summer night to walk around the campus. I think better outside, moving, and most effectively working against a breeze. I've seen every tree, building, flowerbed, and inch of ground that this campus encompasses a hundred times, but sometimes there is something so obscuring about the dark that is in itself a propulsory force that takes me to places I've forgotten about. (I used to write about what I'd find there too.)

The park re-opens next week and then I'll be working my second job again until the end of the season. I'll be glad to break the inertia of winter tedium. The time off has been great, but I've been spending far too much time sitting at computers while playing the role of an ocd gamer and information junkie who only sets astray for food, a nap, or Cisco coursework. I had a dream during my mid-shift siesta that I was jogging in a downpour. I'm eager for a diet of exercise. ...and creativity. I think I'm going to get some paints, and unrelatedly carve a hole in the side of my computer. I also need to install my EMG81 pickup into my Ibanez and mend some loose ideas.

I hope this new In Flames album grows on me. The guitar sound grows dull to me really quickly, and it seems to trod rather than bite...without much counterpoint. I'll listen to it more while driving for a more thorough opinion. ...though surprisingly the new Fear Factory took no time at all in sinking it's hooks in. Archetype is their most solid since Demanufacture.

I'm almost off work.
