Mar. 27th, 2002 05:53 amThe university has implemented a new IT Personnel System that will reclassify our positions, grant money for salary market adjustments, and isolate the IT department as a seperately budgeted entity. This is all a very good thing that may give us raises as well as the opportunity to get certification (cisco, mcse, etc.) paid for by the university under an employment contract agreement. We've had a bit of paperwork and meetings to attend, but it's not that bad.
I drove home from work through the snow yesterday and opened a bottle of wine to accomplish an effect of slur. I walked to my sister's to borrow a couple of movies and tell her how shitty the roads were before she ventured off to work. My neighbor Jared stopped by and planted a half a dozen bottles of beer in the snow outside of my front door. We watched Proof of Life, and by the end of it I was a tad drunk...or my memory recalls the song that was playing while the credits rolled being really really good. He works midnights too, so he went home to crash and I did the same. I had heavy dreams that are now vague in detail.
Work is slow. I've been paying bills. I'd like to order a golf bag, but I don't think I can afford to since I bought an Athlon 1300 last week. Two months will pass before the weather will be agreeable enough to play golf anyhow. I might as well wait until Dusty gets back from boot camp and I get a set of i3's.
My mom is picking up tickets for the Iced Earth, In Flames, and Jag Panzer show in Indy next month for me, Damon, and Kenny since she doesn't live too far from the music stores that sell them. Ticketmaster isn't handling that single show on the whole tour for some reason, but that also means we don't have to pay their handling charge.
Someone has adorned all the pc desktops with pictures of Anna Kournikova. She looks edible...er I mean smart.
