May. 19th, 2001 01:12 pmI've been reading, cleaning, and calling people. I've almost achieved a sense of being busy.
Danny asked me to drive to Indianapolis this evening to hang out. I explained to him that I didn't have any extra money for amusement, but he said he would give me the money for gas. That's nice and all, but I can't remember the last weekend that I didn't have to drive at LEAST an hour to see my friends or family. I called my mom, and found out that my grandparents were at her house. That means that they drove within a quarter of a mile of my apartment and didn't stop. I guess it wasn't convenient. My dad and stepmom have seen my apartment once, when I first moved in...same goes for Charley...my mom has only been by a couple of times for a minute or two. I've converted my kitchen table into my computer desk because I have no use for something that requires a small group. This is not a whiney rant...I'm in a good mood...I just wonder why people don't visit me with any regularity. Are they assuming that I'm already busy? Maybe it's a vicious circle...no one comes and visits me because I always have to go somewhere else, and they assume I'm gone until it is their turn and I have to drive and see them. Is my apartment uncomfortable? Or is the drive an inconvenience?
I'm content with staying put this weekend. If the weather allows I might play volleyball with my sister and her friends tomorrow.
