The damn voicemail server keeps crashing. Everytime it crashes I have to walk across campus and reboot the p.o.s. (piece of shit). I'm fed up with it already...I'll wait until right before my boss gets here and try again.

My brother's birthday was fun. I spent a lot of time entertaining my nephews and that's always cool. Hung out with Grandparents, my mom, brother...it was nice.

That evening I met up with Billy and went to the bar, had a few beers, and talked to a few people I haven't seen in a while. I talked to someone I went to high school with who seemed to know me though I had never talked to her before. I had already rounded up two other friends and Billy to go fishing that night so I asked Rachel if she liked to fish. She said, "No, I don't like dirt," with a "yuck" type of expression. I told her we were going fishing, she looked at me strangely, I said goodbye, and she asked me to call her. I doubt that I will.

I stopped and bought chicken liver for bait and they made a run for beer. We met at my cabin. No fishing was to be done. The river has dropped about seven feet in the last week, which has left the only accessible spots that are good for fishing too shallow. We were content sitting around the campfire, drinking beer, and talking. At six a.m. I stumbled to bed and passed out while they left to drive(!) home. I slept alllllll day and fought my hangover upon awakening.

I was still hungover when I got back to Terre Haute that night at eight o'clock. I met up with Danny and Carolyn who drove in from Indy to hang out. We went to a lame party for about an hour...Goddamn I felt old. We went back to my apartment with a case of beer and watched House on Haunted Hill...Yawnz0rs.

My friend Chronic (that's his real last name, no he doesn't smoke pot) drove up to hang out on Sunday. He wanted to go see a movie, but I told him I was broke...he bought lunch and took me to a movie. I told him up front I don't put out on the first date =) We went to see The Patriot...excellent flick. I wanted to see the X-Men, but since he was buying I didn't complain. I'll check it out next weekend.

...and another week begins.
